Seed Pearl Antique Brooch in 18ct Gold - Secondhand

An antique forty two stone seed pearl cluster brooch in 18ct yellow gold. Comprising a central pearl claw set in a box collet surrounded by two rows of seed pearls with the outer row of larger pearls (twenty six pearls in total). This is itself surrounded by a scrolling wirework border set with sixteen seed pearls. The pearls are either roubover box collet set on the end of a knife edge bar or grain set into leaf style settings. The brooch has a pin and rollover safety catch (later added and lead soldered on) and a hook for adding to a necklace.

Pearls 42 @ 1.10 - 3.20mm each

Unstamped. Tested as 18ct gold.
